squaw valley inn
olympic valley, california
A revival of a quaint mountain village, this building contributes to the aesthetically charming PlumpJack Squaw Valley Inn complex, bringing forth the architectural vocabulary of the existing PlumpJack Lodge. The vocabulary consists of copper roofing, shingled walls, and roofing with a stone-faced base which serves as a main entry to the existing and new areas of this ski area compound. MacDonald Architects acted as the principal architects for these 34 multi-family residential units that include office space, underground and street level parking, a foyer/lobby area, exercise room, and game room. The new building is located behind the existing building at Squaw Peak Road. The entire new structure is approximately 152,000 square feet.
